Jenny and I went for a spot of light shopping and lunch yesterday, to mark the last days of good, sunny weather. I loved Jenny’s outfit; most of it she already owned, but the scarf ($40 at Ann Taylor) and earrings ($7 at Target) were purchased after she got her Make It Real style prescription.
This is a great example of how we can use a lot of the items in our existing wardrobe to transition into a new style. If you have a good eye for the basics like Jenny does, using them in new combinations and investing in interesting, statement-making accessories is a great way to bridge into your new style (let a alone a good way to make that style transition easy on your wallet!) So, before you go out to buy new things, take good stock of your closet – you may be surprised by how much of it is still wearable.
We stopped by Sephora to pick up a couple of things:

(Laura Mercier foundation No.1, Lancome blush subtil in Aplum, Kat von D tattoo liner in Maya, Nars eyeshadow in Abyssinia, YSL mascara volume effet faux cils in High Density Black, Nars lipgloss in Dolce Vita). For those who use color analysis, Jenny’s coloring is Dark Winter.
Lovely, no? Jenny thinks it’s too much mascara; I think it’s perfect. What say you, internet?
I think Jenny looks terrific. If I can get some results like hers I would be delighted.
