Train Yourself to See the Positive Side of Life: Gratitude List

I have a knack for seeing the negative side of things, so in order to train myself to appreciate the positive side of life I thought I’d try to make a habit of listing things I am grateful for. I know it seems simplistic that counting your blessings might make you happier, but somehow it works.

Things I’m grateful for this week:

1. This post how to dress like a female sci fi character. I’ve always favored the futuristic look myself, but I don’t agree with her love of Buffy Summers’ wardrobe. Just cause you’re a Slaya, don’t mean you know how to dress.

2. Feeding pigeons in the park

3. Fat kitties relaxing

4. National holidays in summer

5. Spiral Hot Dogs. If you don’t know what these are, check out this video. The spirals really help the condiments stay in place, and what’s a hot dog if not a vehicle for relish and ketchup?

A regular habit of expressing gratitude can help you savor every moment and remember that the best things in life are often free.
